SACRAMENTO, Calif. – It’s a funny thing about liberals.
They say they believe in freedom of thought and expression, but if you don’t agree with their point of view, they will do what they can to hurt you.

Just ask consultant Jim Glazer and several other political professionals who have done a lot of work for liberal causes in California, but now find branded as enemies.
The men have been “blacklisted” by the California Labor Federation, according to the Sacramento Bee. That means their names are posted prominently on a “do not hire” list on the organization’s website.
Why? Because they recently worked for Democratic candidates for the state legislature who opposed Democratic incumbents that the unions supported. In both cases the challengers defeated the incumbents in the primary election, according to the news reports.
That invited the wrath of the CLF, which accused the professionals of assisting campaigns “that directly attacked labor unions and caused damage to the labor movement.”
Glazer was blacklisted despite having an impressive record of helping various left wing causes in recent years. He managed the successful campaign of California Gov. Jerry Brown in 2010 and helped raise money for Brown’s successful ballot initiative to raise income taxes in California.
That was all well and good. But he crossed the line when he crossed the unions, and all of his past contributions were suddenly forgotten.

How’s that for loyalty?
Glazer accused the California Teachers Association of leading the effort to blacklist him, according to the news report. He said the union was “acting like a bully in the school yard” and defended his right to support candidates who do not have the blessing of the unions and other special interests.
“I am proud to support independent, locally-based Democratic leaders against the hand-picked Sacramento politicians,” Glazer said. “Powerful special interests from the right and left demand adherence to their agenda (and those that don’t conform) face political elimination.”
Apparently there’s little room for discussion, debate or disagreement in the halls of California liberalism. You will tow the union line if you care to work again.
