According to court documents, a male student told authorities that Weekley took him into a closet in the auditorium to “straighten it up.” While inside the closet, the student said the teacher touched him inappropriately and performed a sex act on him, reports the Parkersburg News.

The next month, the teacher allegedly asked the student to come into his classroom after all the other students had left for a school assembly. In the classroom, Weekley allegedly locked the door for 90 minutes while again molesting the student.

Ritchie County Superintendent Ed Toman told the Parkersburg News that the district will thoroughly investigate the allegations and “appropriate action will be taken.”

Weekley is due back in court this month.

Teacher pleads ‘not guilty’ to showering with minor

Daniel Taylor, a teacher in the Coeur d’Alene School District, pleaded not guilty last month to one felony count of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16.

Taylor, 32, faces life in prison if found guilty, reports CDAPress.com.

The alleged victim’s mother first contacted police in December to report a sex offense. According to the girl’s mother, in 2012, the victim – who is now seven – was taking a shower with Taylor when the alleged rape occurred. The news account doesn’t specify where the shower took place.

Detectives reportedly interviewed the child and she claimed three incidents of sexual abuse, beginning in 2011 and ending in 2012, reports CDAPress.com.

When detectives interviewed Taylor, he admitted to telling the alleged victim to keep the showering incident a secret because he was “probably going to get into trouble.”

The officer reportedly referenced back to the interview with the alleged victim, in which Taylor replied “everything (she) has said is true,” according to the CDAPress.com.

Taylor is currently on paid administrative leave from the district.

South Dakota teacher indicted on rape charges

Former teacher Tonya Marie Drueppel, 33, was indicted last month on rape charges involving a female middle school student, reports the Argus Leader.

Drueppel, a mother of three, faces three counts of fourth degree rape and two counts of sexual contact with a child younger than 16. The incidents allegedly involved a 14-year-old girl and took place from September of 2012 through January of 2014.

The former teacher worked in the district between 2009 and 2013, according to the Argus Leader.

Drueppel was indicted by a grand jury following testimony from both the detectives and the alleged victim. Each rape count is punishable by 15 years in prison upon conviction.

The former teacher was arrested in January after she missed work and the student skipped school. Police found the two together at a local hotel, where Drueppel was attempting suicide in the bathroom.

She is currently being held in county jail and is expected back in court this month.
