DALLAS – A Dallas leadership teacher is on leave after parents complained about a 7 minute profanity-laced rant he delivered at Holmes Middle School Monday that one student recorded on a cell phone.

The teacher, identified by students as Sgt. Griffin, lectured sixth grade students Monday about their poor performance on a recent test, and his desire for them to step up their efforts. Throughout the recorded rant Sgt. Griffin drops a lot of F-bombs, but also boasts about his manhood, which prompted laughter from students, according to media reports.

But parents don’t think it’s very funny.

“I was really upset. I was really, really, really upset,” a parent, identified only as Diana, told CBS DFW of her reaction after listening to the recording.

“The whole profanity, cursing … it was all disturbing, but the most disturbing part was the end of the video … where he talks about his private parts,” the mother said. “I don’t know if (students) were laughing because they were nervous or uncomfortable, because some kids do that, but I didn’t think it was funny at all.”

In the recording, Sgt. Griffin tells students “if you don’t give a f***, I don’t give a f***,” and “I’m going to tell you the truth, you f***ed it up,” referring to students’ performance on the recent test.

Other comments to students, according to Fox 4:

“If you get to f*** around I will go back and do the paperwork and change your f***** grade and fail you stupid a**.”

“If y’all cool with me, I’m cool with you. I would much prefer, I like having fun just as much as everybody else. Matter of fact, I like having fun more. I’d rather be sitting on my a** chilling, watching y’all play basketball, play on the phones and all of that sh*t!

“However, y’all mother f*****s acted a goddamn fool on Thursday and Friday.”

“Let me tell you something, some of y’all are some goddamn rude mother*****s. Shut the f*** up.”

Sgt. Griffin also joked about his penis to the sixth-graders.

Some people’s dicks, they only go that far …,” he said. “My dick goes all the way to that fence.”

“I’m gonna show you … I’m gonna show you what … I’m gonna show you what a dick is. I’m gonna dick your ass over.”

Diana’s daughter made the recording, and she confronted school officials about it Tuesday. She refused to leave the school until she witnessed the principal review the recording, but wasn’t very satisfied with the response, Fox 4 reports.

“She just told me she was going to tell me what happens with the investigation, and that was it,” the mother said.

Diana told CBS DFW that when she show the video to the principal, “she asked me to delete the video, not to have the video in my phone, not to do anything with it.”

Diana refused.

Students in Sgt. Griffin’s class told CBS DFW it’s not the first time the teacher has used profanity in the classroom.

“He’ll say the B word. He’ll say … sometimes nasty words … and the A word and the MF word,” 12-year-old Takaila Moss told the news site.

The Dallas Independent School District would not answer questions about the incident. Instead, they issued a one paragraph statement that Diana doesn’t find very reassuring.

“It has come to our attention that one of our teachers may have spoken to students using inappropriate language, tone and behavior during a class recent,” the district statement read. “That staff member has been placed on administrative leave.”

“I want him out and not to be at any school,” Diana said.
