GULF SHORES, Ala. – A Texas student and his friends thought it was hilarious to throw a football over a crowd of beach-goers and into a police vehicle during an Alabama spring break outing, and posted a video of their stunt online.
In the video, a hulking bro threw a football a couple dozen yards over a very large crowd on the beach as a female bystander screams “f*** the police.” In the truly impressive feat, the football bounced off of a police vehicle barely visible in the distance. As the police vehicle moved closer, the man bounced a second throw off the windshield before the video cut out.

The video was posted to Twitter and quickly went viral online. Shortly after, the Gulf Shores Police Department reposted the footage with a message for Kameron Lane Heady, a student from Texas.
“A Spring Breaker thought it would be a great idea to throw a football at a GSPD vehicle patrolling the beaches of Gulf Shores,” the department’s Facebook post read.
“Hey Kameron, We Found You,” police wrote in the reposted video. “Great arm. Bad decision. An arrest warrant has been issued for you. You can turn yourself in at the Gulf Shores Police Department.”
The GSPD video, posted earlier this month, has since gained the attention of AL.com, and other media outlets, as well as about 336,000 Facebook viewers.
The GSPD also continued to show their sense of humor about the situation with another Facebook post last Friday of an officer patrolling the beach with a Gulf Shores football helmet on.

“Kameron is a knuckle-head,” Gulf Shores Police chief Edward Delmore told Fox & friends yesterday. “Let me put this video in context, if I can. Gulf Shores, Alabama has miles and miles of beautiful white sand beach – our motto is Small Town, Big Beach – we don’t have the spring break issues that other Gulf Coast areas have had. But the first week of spring break this year, we saw – probably because of what some of the other areas are doing – some of that is starting to develop in Gulf Shores and we had a large group of kids on the beach, about 1,000, and it was growing exponentially.
“They were binge drinking, using drugs, using profanity, and really trashing our beach, so we were in there that day removing those groups in a very safe way and that’s when this idiot decided to do this stupid human trick, if you will, and launch a football at one of our black and whites,” he said.
However, Delmore said he’s got to give credit where credit’s due.
“To give the devil his due, he does have a good arm and he had good aim,” Delmore said, “but the problem for him became when one of his friends tweeted it and we monitor social media and you can say we intercepted it and made a video of our own.”
Delmore told Fox & Friends Heady has since returned to school in Texas, though it’s not clear which school.
“We have talked to someone who claims to be his attorney and I guess you could say we’re still negotiating his surrender at this point,” the chief said.
Delmore said someone who knows Heady called the department to identify him.
He now faces up to a $500 fine and six months in jail for harassment, the Pensacola News Journal reports.
The department’s video came the same day Gulf Shores banned alcohol on the beach for the remainder of spring break, according to AL.com.
