KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Two Tennessee middle school teachers conspired to arrange a sexual rendezvous between one of the teachers and a 14-year-old student, according to a lawsuit filed by the child’s parents.

The student’s mother filed the lawsuit Monday against teachers Serena Rae Milan and Sean Green, as well as Knox County and the Knox County Board of Education, seeking millions of dollars in damages from the alleged sexual contact between Milan and the boy, WBIR reports.

The 29-year-old teacher was indicted in November on 29 sex crimes stemming from alleged sexual abuse of the 14-year-old Northwest Middle School student between February and July of last year, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel.

The lawsuit alleges Milan sexually abused the child in her classroom at Northwest, and in her car, at that Green allegedly helped her get her hands on the boy on at least one occasion.

“The lawsuit alleges Milan and Green were friends and accuses Green of bringing the boy to Milan’s classroom at an unspecified time ‘in the spring of 2015’ so Milan could have sex with the boy,” the News Sentinel reports.

“Upon entering Milan’s classroom at Northwest Middle School, (the boy) was seated in front of a computer and (Milan) closed and locked the classroom door,” the lawsuit read. “(Milan) began touching his legs and groin area and thereafter performed sexual acts on him in her classroom.”

Green, a former coach and teacher, knew of Milan’s intentions when he brought the boy to her class for “computer training,” the lawsuit alleges.

Green also failed to alert school officials about the alleged abuse, and “harassed and intimidated” the boy’s mother “in an attempt to keep her from notifying law enforcement,” according to the complaint cited by the News Sentinel.

The lawsuit claims Milan sexually abused the boy at school and also arranged to meet him at the West Town Mall, where she picked him up and drove him to a secluded area for sex, WBIR reports.

Milan also allegedly sent the student sexually explicit pictures, and solicited the same from him, some of which were taken at school, according to the News Sentinel.

Knox County Schools spokeswoman Melissa Tindell told WIBR “as a general practice, we do not discuss matters of pending or active litigation.”

Milan, an English Language Arts Intervention teacher, resigned last July.

The lawsuit alleges “there have been persistent incidents of sexual abuse of students by Knox County Board of Education employees in the past” and points to Green’s transfer from Maynard Elementary School to Northwest Middle School as a result of “inappropriate conduct.”

“In the lawsuit, attorney Eddie Daniel seeks $500,000 in damages from Milan; $250,000 from Green; and $1.35 million from the school system,” the News Sentinel reports.
