FALL RIVER, Mass. – A 30-year-old Massachusetts mother was arrested Tuesday after a brawl with students outside of a Fall River middle school.
Police arrested Noemi Alvarez for multiple charges after dozens of allegedly watched her assault several girls in the parking lot of Morton Middle School Tuesday afternoon, WJAR reports.

Police allege Alvarez hit at least three female students before a school resource officer and teacher broke up the melee. WJAR provided no context to what instigated the fight or whether anyone was injured.
The fight was at least the second school brawl involving a parent in December.
On Dec. 2 a father of a student involved in a fight in Aurora – north of Toronto, Canada – attempted to break up a brawl and ended up fighting, as well. Four teens beat him severely in a video posted online, City News reports.
A description of the YouTube video contends the father was left “bloodied and disoriented.”
The 52-year-old man and four male teens – ages 15, 16 and 18 – were all arrested and charged with assault.
“When adults attend something like this, they’re there to help break up the fight, which is what I think everyone would expect of an adult parent … not to get involved in the fight,” Const. Andy Pattenden said.

Locals who commented online about the most recent Fall River incident expressed mixed reactions.
“Have you seen how ‘innocent’ teen girls act nowadays, 13-14 year olds act like full grown women when starting fights,” Tracy Santiago wrote to Facebook. “There is definitely more to this … as far as hitting them goes. If she wasn’t struck by them first, then ABSOLUTELY no excuses. BUT if they initiated the altercation, that needs to be investigated. Just because you’re a teenager doesn’t give you an all access pass to cause chaos with adults.”
“Wtf is wrong with this world?!” Maria Quatro posted. “Physically assaulting another person’s child.”
“Probably some girls bullying her daughter and a school that does nothing about it,” Jen Martel opined.
“Wonderful example!” Linda Rouleau added.
