Trump EPA chief Scott Pruitt became the latest administration official targeted in public when a teacher from the prestigious Sidwell Friends School confronted him at a Washington, D.C. restaurant on Monday.

“Hi, I just want to urge you do resign because of what you’re doing to the environment. This is my son, he loves animals and clean air. He loves clean water,” said Kristin Mink, who approached Pruitt at Teaism Penn Quarter as he dined with another man.

Mink’s Facebook page lists her as a teacher at Sidwell Friends School. It also features a lot of video and images of her at a variety of left-wing protest events. Mink’s Facebook banner features her carrying a large banner in a parade with her husband and son that read “Silver Spring Loves and Welcomes Immigrants.”

In another picture, Mink is carrying her child at a women’s rally where she posed for a picture with her husband, and all three had protest signs. Mink’s read “My body, my politics!” and her husband’s said “What my wife said.” Clipped to the child was a third poster: “Bigger vocabulary than Donald. Bigger hands, too.”

At the Teaism, Mink was prepared with a camera man and notes for the confrontation.

Regardless, she framed herself as the savior of social justice who ran “cowardly Pruitt” out of the establishment.

“EPA head Scott Pruitt was 3 tables away as I ate lunch with my child. I had to say something. This man is directly and significantly harming my child’s – and every child’s – health and future with decisions to roll back environmental regulations for the benefit of big corporations, while he uses taxpayer money to fund a lavish lifestyle,” Mink posted to Facebook. “He’s corrupt, he’s a liar, he’s a climate change denier, and as a public servant, he should not be able to go out in public without hearing from the citizens that he’s hurting.”

She definitely gave him an earful.

“You’re slashing stronger fuel standards for cars and trucks for the benefit of big corporations. You’ve been paying about (inaudible) bucks a night to stay at a condo that’s connected to an energy lobbying firm, while approving our dirty sands pipeline,” Mink told Pruitt.

“We deserve to have someone at the EPA that does actually protect our environment, someone who believes in climate change and takes it seriously, for the benefit of all of us, including our children,” she continued. “So I would urge you to resign before your scandals push you out.”

According to a narration Mink added to the end of her Facebook video:

Cowardly Pruitt had no response. He, his companion, and their 2 tax-paid security guards fled the restaurant before I got back to my seat.

Our children’s future is at stake.

As citizens, it is our responsibility to confront corrupt, unethical, and immoral government officials whenever and wherever we see them.

Mink also linked her Facebook post to a Sierra Club petition to “Boot Pruitt.”

Her video was viewed about 220,000 times in the first 17 hours.

The message echoes calls from Congressional Democrats to target and harass Trump cabinet officials in public, an effort led by California Rep. Maxine Waters.

Waters encouraged her followers to take action last week following the public shaming of Trump spokeswoman Sarah Sanders and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen at D.C.-area restaurants.

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get our and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said.
