MUSKEGON, Mich. – For those of you keeping track at home, go ahead and add four more names to the list of school employees facing sexual related charges.

In just one day, there were four reports of teachers accused of – or sentenced for – sexual battery, sexual assault, rape and inappropriate sexual contact.

We’ll start in South Carolina, where Michael Paul Waters, 41, a former teacher at South Aiken High School has reportedly decided to “voluntarily terminate” his employment with the Aiken County Public School District, according to the Aiken Standard.

Back in December, Waters was arrested and charged with five counts of sexual battery with a student for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student.

The relationship is said to have taken place from September to December of last year.

Waters, a former coach, geography and economics teacher at the school, was placed on paid administrative leave following his arrest.

School board attorney Bill Burkhalter said that Walters was served notices for the suspension of his salary and termination of his employment at the end of last month, the Aiken Standard reports.

Instead of contesting the board’s decision, the former teacher submitted his resignation. He is scheduled to appear in court in March.

Elizabeth Moss

It’s a safe bet to say the majority of teens wish that parents and teachers would stay off of social media and leave it to the kids.

And one Sumter, South Carolina teacher is allegedly working hard to prove their point.

Elizabeth Moss, a 31-year-old teacher at Chestnut Oaks Middle School, allegedly sent inappropriate messages to some of her students on Facebook, News2 reports.

During the investigation into the Facebook incident, investigators say they discovered that Moss sexually assaulted one of the students at her residence.

On Wednesday, a warrant was executed at Moss’ residence and several key pieces of evidence were reportedly seized, according to News2.

While Moss claims innocence through her lawyers, the case is continuing and investigators believe there may be many more victims.

Brianne Altice

Most 34-year-old teachers go to the park to play with their children, Brianne Altice allegedly goes to the park to have sex with her students.

Altice, a former English teacher at Davis High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, was ordered to stand trial on three charges of first-degree felony rape and one charge of first-degree felony forcible sodomy, reports the Salt Lake Tribune.

Court documents report that Altice faces accusations of having sexual intercourse with a male student, who was 16 at the time, on several occasions between January and September of 2013.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, prosecutors say the teacher acknowledged to investigators that she had engaged in sex with the male student on two occasions. At least one of these encounters occurred at a local park.

Altice was placed on paid leave until she was fired by the district on February 3. She is set appear in court next week.

Joseph Rubino

A former science teacher at Hopewell High School in Alquippa, PA, was sentenced to between 1 and 2 years in jail and is facing two years of probation after his release.

Joseph Rubino, 38, previously pleaded guilty to five charges of sexual contact in one case and three charges of sexual contact in a second case, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The former teacher was charged with having inappropriate and illegal sexual contact with a minor female student. During the investigation, police discovered there was another female student who he also had inappropriate contact with.

Prosecutors said Rubino sent numerous sexually explicit texts and had inappropriately touched both girls, according to the Post-Gazette.
