HOUSTON – In most high schools around the country, students will return to classes with tales of their wild spring break trips.

But at Yates High School, the wild stories are awaiting the return of the students.

History teacher De Sergio Geterus Parrish, 31, was arrested yesterday on charges of having an improper relationship with a student, reports KTRK.

Parrish reportedly had sex with a 16-year-old student on more than one occasion.

The student told police that Parrish was her history teacher during her 10th grade year, KTRK reports. She claims the relationship started when the teacher gave her a ride home, followed her into her bedroom and proceeded to have sex.

The girl also claims that they had sex on multiple other occasions, at both of their homes.

At first Parrish denied these reports but later admitted to the sexual acts, telling police he made a mistake.

Yates High School is currently on Spring Break and there has been no word regarding Parrishs’ employment status with the district.

A Queens teaching assistant was charged earlier today with raping a 14-year-old male student, reports the New York Daily News.

Clara Somodi, 39, was taken in early this morning and charged with criminal sex and endangering the welfare of a child.

Somodi, a teaching assistant at a Ridgewood area school, was arrested after being interviewed by special victims police.

The investigation began after the victim opened up to his speech therapist. The therapist reportedly asked the boy what he had done the day before and he replied he was “hanging out with his girlfriend,” the New York Daily News Reports.

When the therapist asked about his girlfriend, the boy revealed all of the details regarding his relationship with the teaching assistant. The therapist immediately brought the information to school officials and they contacted authorities.

The school district has yet to release a statement but police say the abuse did not occur on school grounds.
