SPRINGFIELD, Ill.  – The Edgar County Watchdogs have uncovered some disturbing documentation connected with Illinois Governor Pat Quinn’s Neighborhood Recovery Initiative (NRI).

According to information obtained by State Rep. Dwight Kay, one counselor working as part of the NRI program actually instructed a family dealing with curfew issues to teach their kids that being off the streets at night is important because “night is the prime time that youth get harrassed and killed by police.” (Document HERE)

Another document records that parents were told that their children “being out on the streets late” were in danger of being a victim of “police brutality.” (Document HERE)
