WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – An self-proclaimed “ghetto mama” faces battery charges for attacking her son’s elderly elementary school teacher, knocking the woman unconscious, police said.

Shakira Green, 30, allegedly burst into her son’s classroom at Roosevelt Elementary School around 3:30 p.m. Dec. 17 and attacked the 57-year-old teacher unprovoked, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

The teacher told police Green yelled “I will f*** your old a** up!” before striking her on the neck and she blacked out.

“To quote the victim, she ‘hasn’t been back into the school since she left on a stretcher,’” an assistant state attorney told the Palm Beach Post.

After the attack, as another teacher intervened and Green ranted with another family member at the scene, Green allegedly said “She didn’t know (child’s name) had a ghetto mama,” according to a probable-cause affidavit cited by the Post.

Green, along with the family member and her son, allegedly brushed off efforts to restrain the mother after the attack and fled the scene.

“If the police want me,” Green said, according to the police report, “they will have to come find me.”

The teacher reportedly suffered a herniated disk in her neck.

The police arrested Green this Tuesday, and she was charged with battery on a school board employee and booked into Palm Beach County Jail on a $5,000 bond, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

“(There’s) no way we can think this is a reasonable way to resolve a dispute,” judge Joseph Marx told Green at her arraignment Wednesday morning, according to the Post. “This is ridiculous.”

Roosevelt Elementary School Principal Sharonda Alleyne notified parents about the “unfortunate, isolated incident” that occurred after school, and said no students were involved.

“Our focus remains on the safety and academic success of our students,” she said.

The Post reports Green was previously arrested for domestic battery and criminal mischief, but both cases were not prosecuted.

“You act like an animal and end up in jail, I bet your son is proud of his mommy,” commenter “planet” posted to the Sun-Sentinel.

“Guess what, the police did come and find her. And then they hauled this third world, street-trash piece of crap off to jail where she belongs,” FortLauderdaleNative posted.

“After my mom would meet with my teachers, I was the one who caught one upside the head,” Rum Runner added.

“Well, she certainly should be prosecuted now. Her child needs to learn that there are serious consequences to such actions. A mama from the ghetto does not have a free pass to behave like a wild animal in a civilized society,” joslin39 posted to the Post.
