ORLANDO, Fla. – Police allege an Orlando man repeatedly forced a Vietnamese exchange student to have sex with him and exposed himself to another while the girls were staying in his home.
Joshua Perez, 28, faces charges of sexual battery and exposure of sexual organs after investigators contend he forced a female exchange student from Vietnam to have sex with him about 13 times over since October, WFTV reports.

Perez served as a host dad for the girl and another female Vietnamese exchange student at a Valencia Forest apartment in Orlando that he shares with his girlfriend, though it’s unclear whether the girls were living there at the same time.
The second girl told police Perez exposed himself to her while she cooked him mashed potatoes in the kitchen. She said she ran to her bedroom in horror and locked the door, then called her parent to beg them to place her in another home, court records show.
“Police said that the man’s girlfriend allowed cops to listen in as she had a conversation with Perez in which he admitted to sexual encounters with one exchange student, but claimed they were consensual,” the Daily Mail reports.
“He also reportedly said that he may have exposed himself, but if so, it was accidental.”
Perez was arraigned and booked into Orange County Jail on Tuesday and was later released on a $5,100 bail, WFTV reports.
A reporter for the television station was waiting for him as he left jail, but he refused to comment, covered his face, and dashed into a waiting vehicle.

A man who answered the phone number listed in Perez’ arrest report also refused to speak with the Orlando Sentinel.
Perez’s girlfriend served as the official host for the girls, who appear to be over the age of 18 based on the charges, according to the news site.
Locals who commented about the man’s arrest online were outraged.
“ONLY $5K bail and he FORCED the student 13 times?” Iris Speed posted to Facebook. “Something is definitely wrong here.”
“I can definitely believe this to be true!” Shelby Amal Ketterle added. “I lived next to their apartment unit before they moved to Valencia Forest. I remember seeing them only to go to class and come home and they always looked so sad.
“This guy was total creep!”
“Good grief … this guy has no brains, morals or compassion,” Theresa Moody wrote. “He is such a danger. Why is he out?”
