RIVERSIDE, Calif. – A California woman this week exposed her former middle school teacher as an alleged molester when she posted on YouTube a video of an emotional telephone conversation she recently had with the educator.

The woman, who identifies herself only as Jamie X, posted the video January 17 and it quickly went viral.

“I am 28 years old and I’ve been waiting years to get up enough courage to report a teacher for sexually abusing me for years,” the video’s description reads. “When I finally got up enough courage to report her, I found out that the statute of limitations was up and she will never have to pay for the things she did to me.”

So Jamie X decided to confront the teacher, Andrea Cardosa, about the sexual abuse she suffered while a student of Cardosa’s at Chemawa Middle School and record the conversation for the world to share. Jamie says she posted the video on YouTube to warn parents at Alhambra High about Cardosa’s history of sexual abuse.

Jamie: Is this Ms. Cardosa?

Cardosa: Yes.

Jamie: The Ms. Cardosa that used to work in MorenoValley?

Cardosa: Well, it depends on what part of MorenoValley. What, you know, yes.

Cardosa: Yes.

Jamie: Used to work at Chemawa?

Cardosa: In Riverside, yes.

Jamie: OK. This is Jamie. You’re an assistant principal, huh?

Cardosa: Yes.

Jamie: So what happens when a student comes in and says that they’re having a sexual relationship with a teacher?

Cardosa: Then I would involve law enforcement.

Jamie: So how is that any different from what you did when I was at Chemawa Middle?

Cardosa: It’s not.

Jamie: So why are you excluded from the law? Why did you do that? I was only 12 years old when I met you. You realize you brainwashed me and you manipulated me? And that what you did was wrong?

Cardosa: Yes. And I regret it.

Jamie: You know that I am completely messed up? That I have so many issues because of you?

Cardosa: I only — I just wanted to help you.

Jamie: How is having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old student helping?

Cardosa: That wasn’t anything that I intended. I don’t even know what happened.

Jamie: It’s completely shocking to me that you are an assistant principal. Are you doing this with other students too?

Cardosa: No.

Jamie: Is that how you help them?

Cardosa: No. Not at all.

Jamie: You ruined my life. You ruined my childhood. You realize that?

Cardosa: No. No.

Jamie: You sicken me. You sicken me. Every day when I think about what you did you sicken me. I have kids of my own and I’m the age now that I pretty much met you at, and I could never think about doing the things that you did. You should be so ashamed and so disgusted with yourself.

Cardosa: I am. I am.

Jamie: How fucking dare you.

Cardosa: I regret it every day. Every day.

Jamie: You’re disgusting. Bye.

School district officials sent letters to parents about the video, informing them that Cardosa has resigned and the local police have launched an investigation into the allegations.

The Alhambra Police Department said an initial investigation hasn’t revealed any students who have been abused by Cardosa at the high school, BuzzFeed reports.
