SAN FRANCISCO – A “public service announcement” posted by an anti-gun activist is urging students to bring their parents’ guns to school and turn them into a teacher.
Progressive activist Rejina Sincic posted the video – titled “Stop Gun Violence Now” – in early December.

It shows a student taking a gun out of his mother’s dresser, putting it in his back pack and taking it to school.
The most provocative portion of the video shows the student taking the gun out of his bag and laying it on his teacher’s desk.
“Can you take this away? I don’t feel safe with a gun in my house,” the boy tells his teacher.
But BearingArms.com points out the student has likely committed multiple felonies as he improperly handles the weapon.
In the video, a boy steals an unholstered (presumably loaded) firearm from his mother’s room, drops it unsecured into his bookbag, and then carries it to school. After class the boy pulls the pistol out of his bookbag and puts it on his startled teacher’s desk, saying, “Can you take this away? I don’t feel safe with a gun in my house.”
In the real world, such an act would result in the boy facing numerous felony charges (exact charges depend on state laws) possibly including weapons theft, unlawful possession of a weapon by a minor, illegal concealed carry of a weapon, carrying a weapon onto school property, assault, and brandishing.
He would face the possibility of felony criminal record and mandatory expulsion from his school.
At the end of the video, producers credit North Oakland Community Charter School, presumably, the location where it was filmed.

An email seeking comment from the school – specifically, whether or not school leaders reviewed the message of the video prior to it being filmed – went unreturned.
After coming under withering criticism from gun rights proponents, Sincic seemed to attack her potential allies, tweeting:
Lot of people are afraid to share my PSA! If you are not a coward please share https://t.co/q2sisRKCN1 … … #gunviolence
