LOS ANGELES — Expanding from its previous partnership with Pearson Education to provide fact and quality deficient curriculum resources, Apple now offers even more — a full range of Common Core aligned curriculum and assessment tools for iPad.

A recent document published by Apple outlining several “amazing curriculum products for iPad” reveals that Apple is not concerned with providing quality education material to America’s students and teachers, but rather with competing for a share of the pot of gold at the end of the nationally leveraged Common Core rainbow.

Although Apple has offered iBook textbooks from Pearson, McGraw Hill, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and DK Publishing since 2012, it recently upgraded its current offerings and added new products specifically aligned with Common Core, some of which are unique to iPad.

Aiming to be a one-stop-shop for all things Common Core, the iPad suite offers core curriculum content in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, as well as assessments, learning systems, and teacher tools.

In addition to Pearson Education, who employs progressive indoctrinators to lead its Common Core Initiative, Apple’s menu of core curriculum apps includes lessons from other equally skewed publishers/providers like Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, McGraw Hill, Discovery Education, and The Choices Program.

The Choices Program was developed by the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University. The program promotes the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (Agenda 21) and the “idea of collective security”under UN rule, while portraying the United States as an imperialistic and racist nation.

The Watson Institute collaborates with the Annenberg Institute for School Reform, the driving force behind the radically progressive education reform of communist Bill Ayers and President Obama.

Common Core text exemplars are also available for the iPad, making the porn contained in books like The Bluest Eye and Dreaming in Cuban more cost efficient and easily accessible to students than before.

Last week, Los Angeles Superintendent of Schools John Deasy suspended a new contract with Apple wherein all students in the district were to be provided with iPads pre-loaded with Pearson Education Common Core learning material.

As reported by the Los Angeles Times:

The suspension comes days after disclosures that the superintendent and his top deputy had especially close ties to executives of Apple, maker of the iPad, and Pearson, the company that is providing the curriculum on the devices.

A draft report obtained by The Times from a district technology committee was critical of the bidding process.

Among the findings, The Times reports, “was that the initial rules for winning the contract appeared to be tailored to the products of the eventual winners — Apple and Pearson — rather than to demonstrated district needs”.

Internal emails recently obtained also suggest that LAUSD’s Former Deputy Superintendent Jaime Aquino may have tried to subvert the district’s bidding process.

According to another LA Times report, “in one email exchange in May 2012, Pearson representative Judy Codding — Aquino’s former boss at America’s Choice — suggested to him that a bidding process was not necessary, that L.A. Unified could deal exclusively with her company”.

Pearson’s Judy Codding was a charter principal of the Coalition of Essential Schools, that same radical reform of the Annenberg Institute, Obama and Ayers.

Considering what a tangled web Common Core has become, you would think big names like Apple would distance themselves from it, but perhaps the prize is too profitable for some to ignore.
